How to Evaluate Your Lift Maintenance Agreement

Before signing a new lift maintenance agreement, it’s essential to ask the right questions to ensure you’re getting the best service for your needs.

Understanding contract terms, service inclusions, response times, and compliance requirements will help you make an informed decision and ensure your lifts remain safe, reliable, and well-maintained.

  • Are you free to leave your contract or are you locked in for 3 to 5 years?
  • Is every service fully documented with a comprehensive check list?
  • How long will the lift mechanic be on site for each service visit?
  • Does the Agreement include the annual safety check?
  • Do you need a comprehensive maintenance contract?
  • How are annual price increases calculated within the term of the contract?
  • Do I have the right to request in writing the qualifications and experience of the maintenance mechanic working on my lift?
  • How many lifts does each mechanic look after p.a.?
